Announcement on the Apostille/Consular Legalization

Please be informed that on 14 May 2019, the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents (Apostille Convention) entered into force between the Philippines and other State Parties (including Republic of Korea).

Starting 14 May 2019, after authentication (Apostillization) by the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines (DFA), Philippine public documents no longer have to be authenticated by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines in order to be accepted in Korea.
