AFCAT 1 2025 Application Process

The Indian Air Force (IAF) will release the AFCAT 1 2025 application form on its official website, afcat.cdac.in. Eligible candidates can apply for the AFCAT 1 2025 exam through this portal. The IAF will also offer an online correction window for the AFCAT 1 2025 application form. An application fee of INR 550 + GST is required, payable via credit/debit card or net banking.

To apply for the exam, candidates need to first register on the official website. After registration, they can fill out the application form by providing personal details, educational qualifications, course preferences, contact information, and selecting an exam city. Candidates must also upload the necessary documents and sign the declaration form. They should also choose their entry preference. Once all required information is entered, candidates can pay the application fee online. After payment, they can verify their 'Payment Status'. If the registration number appears under 'Payment Status', the application has been successfully submitted.

AFCAT 1 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the AFCAT 1 2025 exam, candidates must meet the IAF-specified AFCAT eligibility criteria , which include nationality, age, education, and physical standards. The details are outlined below:

Applicants must be Indian citizens as defined by the Indian Citizenship Act of 1955.

Physical and Medical Standards

Candidates must be in good health and physical condition to effectively fulfil their roles and responsibilities.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 60% in both Maths and Physics. They should also hold a graduation degree in any discipline, or a BE/BTech, or have cleared the section A and B exams of the Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) or the Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60%.

Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches

Administration & Logistics: Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline with at least 60%, or have cleared sections A and B exams of the Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) or the Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with at least 60%.

Weapon Systems (WS) Branch: Candidates must have scored at least 50% in both Maths and Physics at the 10+2 level and:

Accounts Branch: Candidates must have passed Class 12 and completed a graduation degree in any of the following streams with at least 60% from a recognized university:

Education: Candidates must have passed Class 12 and post-graduation with at least 50% in any discipline, including integrated courses offering a PG degree (single degree without permission to exit and lateral entry), and have scored at least 60% in graduation in any discipline.

Meteorology: Candidates must have passed Class 12 and have a BSc in Physics and Mathematics with at least 60%, or a four-year graduation in Engineering/Technology with at least 60% in a plethora of streams.
